Reenactment Events Schedule

All events are open to all reenactors and umbrella groups. We do not support or hold private events. Please feel free to attend any event on this schedule. All are WELCOME!

Now in its forth year, Civil War Days at Thunder Valley Stables, the largest civil war re-enactment in northwestern PA!!! Located 10 miles south of Erie, PA on a scenic 125 acre horse farm. There will be battles, civilian activities, and living history programs both days. Saturday’s activities include a morning tactical, pan throwing contest and ladies tea, horse drawn wagon tours, and an evening ball. On Sunday, we’ll have a period rounders game and kids battle. Artillery bounty of $60 awarded to the first 6 guns. No mortars. Hay provided for cavalry, plus a $25 bounty for the first 10 mounted cavalry. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Erie County Historical Society. There is a limit of 500 re-enactors for this event. Regular registrations are those postmarked before July 25, 2008. Regular registration fee $7.00 for re-enactors; late registration and walk-ons $14.00. Regular registration fee $30.00 for Sutlers; late registration and walk-ons $40.00. Thunder Valley Update: On Friday evening (the 15th), Birney's Division will be hosting a pig roast with all of the fixings free of charge for all pregistered re-enactors. Just one more reason to attend Civil War Days at Thunder Valley Stables!

September – 20, 21 – Fort Necessity/Christian Clay Winery UPDATED

10 miles outside of Uniontown, PA along Rte 40 the National Pike. It will be hosted by The Christian Klay Winery on Fayette Springs Rd. The event site is 214 acres and is well removed from modernity and vehicles will not be visible since the site is so expansive.

This event is centrally located and is no more than 3 hours from any of our units and is just as close for our Confederate friends. There are also quite a few attractions in the surrounding area including but not limited to Fort Necessity, General Braddocks gravesite, Ohio Pyle State Park, and Nemacolin Woodlands.

Schedule:
Saturday evening a dance will be held $4.00 per attendee. There will also be a Ladies Tea held as well as some other programs for the civilians.

Meals:
2 meals will be provided: Saturday evening Beef Stew.
Sunday Lunch Chili

Bounties:
$50.00 for the first 2 artillery pieces on the field
$20.00 for the first 8 cavalry horses registered.
