It's been
a number of years since we've seen a new Civil War reenacting
event in Ohio. Thanks to our friends with the Provisional
Army of the Confederacy (PACS), and Beaver Creek State Park,
we now have an outstanding venue for a great early-war battle.
Beaver
Creek State Park is located near East Liverpool, Ohio and
is between Rt 11 and the PA boarder (South of Youngstown).
The park is a beautiful expanse of woods and open meadow.
The park features a period mill and pioneer village built
near parts of the old Sandy and Beaver Canal system.
More details
on the event will be posted here soon, but expect a few different
scenarios than what you are used to. The town, woods, and
fields will all be used as eliments of the weekend engagements.
As part of portraying "an army on the move", the
camps will be set in partially wooded areas.
This is
a family-friendly event and there is a lot to see and do.
Water and wood will be plenty. Straw will be available. There
will also be a pancake breakfast for all reenactors.

unit registered early. If you have any questions, please don't
